The Blogging Philosophy

Tuesday, 20 October 2009
I'm writing this from the point of view of blog readers, your readers. If you are writing for yourself to read in the future, feel free to skip this, but if you are writing to share, this is something from your reader (me at least) you should know.

First thing first,
Not everyone enjoyed listening the same prelude music of the same song every single time he or she refreshes your blog e.g. clicking into your posts. And your favourite music might not be the other's favourite too, mind that. So if you're writing to share, try not to include music players in your blogs, the readers can play their own song while enjoying your words if they feels like listening, and if they are doing so, and you embedded another player in your blog, gogo remix? Sorry if I offended you because I'm just fed up, as a reader I loved reading blogs but I hate searching for the stop button every time I click into every blog. Not to mention the streaming of musics eats up your internet bandwidth (not too much, but still, it does).

OK. Have you guys seen people post things like "IM SO FUCKING EMO", chop, end of the post. WTF is that considered a blog posts even? If your blog acts as a diary, do you actually write such posts, or should I say statements in your diary? Every time I see these single sentence blog post the first thought in my mind is always "yeah right nice blog". Come on bloggers, you're emo, thats cool, but why are you emo? Don't feel like sharing? Don't write a thing then, if you wanna let people know that you're really emo but not elaborate more, try TWITTER, twitter is really cool, like a simplified version of facebook status, write anything short on it, works as good.

Twitter, simple and nice

I've came across to alot of "I'm tagged by XXX" blog posts. I can understand people circulating it on facebook notes, sometimes it's fun to read even, but why on your blog? Totally meaningless. Because the blog isn't meant to be used that way (someone must be flaming me by this point screaming THATS MY FUCKING BLOG I WRITE ANY FUCKING THING I WANT WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE ME, IF YOU'RE NOT HAPPY DONT FUCKING READ) OK, I'm just posting what readers want to read and what nobody really cares.

Interesting posts are always cool, but copy pasted jokes from random websites on your blog is not really that cool anymore. As you know most of these jokes are circulated for years on the net, 70% of internet users have already heard about those and some bloggers still posting these on their own blog. Sometimes it's OK to left your blog empty if you have nothing to update, don't update for the sake of update.

There's alot more I can go on and on but I guess I'll stop before everyone start taking me as a bullseye and start cursing me and my mother :P

Last but not least, something to share:

1.Become famous -> Become a blogger -> Become a famous blogger, e.g. Politicians
2.Become a blogger -> Become famous -> Become a famous blogger, e.g. Kenny Sia
Politicians etc, make your own stories and tell it to the reporters, blogging is like mars to you, leave it for cool dudes in the other group (I'm not referring to myself).

Just my own opinion, I'm not a pro blogger, no offence, flames and comments are welcomed. Chill.

P/S: Almost one month since last post, me cool :D have lots to write but I dint because I can't manage to get the pictures.

    aiya, everyone got different expectations on their own blog. there's no standard rules for blogging and that's why blogging is so popular. i believe the stuffs you have mentioned are your own expectations on blog. probably the title of this post should be 'My blogging philosophy' instead.
