Once again Malaysia's n-th birthday is here, which I believe to many (but not most) Malaysians like me, it's just a holiday. For the last 10 years living in Malaysia (I din't give a damn about what country I was in before 10), I'd say it's a very, very disappointing.

As a Malaysian Chinese, I have no problem living in a Muslim country like Malaysia, but I do think that the country system sucks, and it's as childish as Najib playing barbie dolls.

Unity is always one of Malaysia's top priority aim, for good relationship between all different races, there were slogans like, "No Malays, Chinese, and Indians, Just Malaysians." And my comment? Bullshit. If you want unity, why forming some unfair rules, that cause hatred between races? The most obvious one would be education, why bumiputras can get into local universities easily with bad result but non-bumiputras had to work like a cow, to secure a position for themselves? Why the so callled "short-cut school", matriculation college have a student ratio of 3 bumiputras to 1 non bumiputra?

When problems appear because of dissatisfaction of non-bumiputras to the government, who should be blamed?

Same goes to the fact that 90% of low-cost houses built must be sold to bumiputras only. I used to work in a developer's office, it's almost impossible for non-bumiputras to buy such cheap properties, unless they know someone from the government housing department, even the developers themselves are not allowed to sell these "low-mid cost houses", constructed by themselves.

The childishness continue in our politics and the politicians, first we have Badawi vs Mahathir show, then we have Najib's criminal accuse. And what's the problem with a MCA leaders got taped while having sex with another woman, does that have anything to do with politics? It's his own life, so why politicians abused the news, and corrupts the once crystal clear Malaysian politic?

With Malaysians so eager for advancement, creating modules like 1Malaysia, Multimedia Super Corridor, Wawasan 2020, Malaysia is suppose to develop alot better. As time goes, I can only see the fact that the country is failing, failing and continue to fail.

But on the other hand, bribery in the royal police force are at a point that almost every single traffic police accept bribes, and 99% of Malaysians know that they have to pay "duit kopi" to the police when caught breaching traffic laws. Sometimes we do see things like "kempen anti rasuah", but to me it's nothing but another monkey show to trick the tax-payer that they are actually doing something, something that will never work.

I do hope that one day, I can live in a clean and civilized Malaysia, and good enough to cancel my decision to migrate ASAP. Happy birthday Malaysia, Happy Merdeka guys, and most of all, enjoy your holidays!

P/S: This posts was meant to criticize, but with the intention to make Malaysia a better country, although it's obvious that most likely it won't happen. Today is Friday. Friday is damn good. So it's Good Friday.

What's so good about Good Friday? Jesus die loh. Why Jesus die people say good? LOL. Yeah I'm a typical guy with no religion concerns. So I have no knowledge about Good Friday so I googled it. And the conclusion, like what I stated, Jesus die lah!

Do Christians celebrate Good Friday? My friend used to have holiday at National Service by pretending to be a Christian, then he went home and party. If Jesus got nailed at Good Friday, Christians should be crying for him every Good Friday instead of having fun, isn't it? Instead I saw people having BBQ sessions, celebrating the holiday, WTF, totally unlogic. Maybe they celebrated it because Jesus actually resurrected? No Idea.


From what I know they have some ceremonies at Philippines where people nail themselves on the holy cross and claim to feel no pain like how our Indian buddies did during Thaipusam (or Deepavali?), hail the holy power of Hindu gods and Jesus.

You believe meh? They sure eat drug one lar, ask them let me knife them see die or not.

Ching Ming basically means 2 different dynasty back in ancient China in Chinese, and in modern words it means something like "tomb-sweeping-day" or whatever for Chinese to erm..."send their regards" to their ancestors, ROFL. Lets check this out, mira's guide to wipe your ancestor's ass:

Step 1: Clean the home of ancestors

Of course, home means the tomb. Either you clean the grasses so that the tomb looks cool, or if you're rich and you believe in Feng Shui you can actually dig out your ancestors and rebury them at some sort of Feng Shui place, reconstruct a handsome tomb. If you need advice, you can contact Mrs. Lilian Too, in case you don't know who is she, this auntie is a famous Singaporean Feng Shui master.


Step 2: Pay your fees

People don't clean the tomb every month or so, so there will be some "authority" who will do this job for them at a fixed rate (I guess). Apparently some bastards out there refuse to pay, and I hope the "authority" got pissed and slam their ancestors tombs with giant hammer. You can save money and also the Earth by turning off your lights and air-con, please do not be stingy on this.

Step 3: Feed your ancestors



Chinese bring all sorts of food for their ancestors, of course you don't expect their spirit appear out of no where and eat lar. Normally steamed whole chicken and roasted pork is their main course and maybe josstick as appetizer? LOL.


From what I know some people bring the food home to eat after their ancestors finish "eating". Some said that the food won't have any taste anymore, to be honest I don't believe this shit, I think they are just trying to freak the kids out so that they can have all of the food, who knows.

Step 4: Give pocket money


You think only you need money meh? Come on, your ancestor need to spend oso lar! Chinese believe that by burning "money" and "gold", or even paper made maid, cars, laptops, houses, their ancestors will receive the actual thing at the afterlife world. Hundred millions of "hell currency" only cost you like few dollars, so don't be stingy, treat your ancestors well, they might repay you with toto first prize numbers!

Basically this is all people do during the big day. But as everywhere is getting crowded people tend to do those troublesome stuff earlier, later or not at all. Ching Ming kinda reminds me about life and death. Have you ever wonder what you want after you die? Maybe I will curse "Oi you burn me laptop for what here hellmyx broadband so fucking slow, no use!".

This Ching Ming I really hope to pray Mr. Laughing from Hong Kong. This guy doesn't really exist in real life but his death in the Hong Kong drama E.U is a boom! If you din't watch the drama, you probably would also know this guy already, because he's everywhere on facebook. Rest in Peace, Laughing 哥.


Anyway I think my tombstone should look really cool so that everyone come also laugh and happy, haha, something like this.

Have you guys ever dreamt that you can have anything you want? For free? I bet you did, quite a while ago I actually had this opportunity in the Facebook game Pet Society where I was so wealthy back then I can grab whatever I want in the Luxurious store for my "pet" until Playfish (The company that runs Pet Society) decided to spoil our fun and banned me recently. I am so frustrated because of the uber slow speed of Streamyx and I seriously need a new connection. And P1 Wimax will be my choice, if you ask me. As I've mentioned earlier in my blog post "Slow internet?", the speed is really awesome. You get 24XX kbps download speed for a 2.4mb package, you get more than you pay? Cool right?

The 2nd C - Camera


The Sony Cybershot T-Series DSC-T700/N. This is one good looking camera that offers really good specs for amateur like us. I'm not a fan of artistic photographs and I don't camwhore, but I like to take pictures with friends, of friends, to keep every happy moment we had together, and a good camera is what I need!

The 3rd C - Cell Phone


My top priority in my list now - Apple iPhone 3G, ROFL. Okay don't flame me, it's just a dream. Really one expensive sexy babe out there! Like most of Apple product, stylish, cute, sexy, both exterior and the interior. Excellent performance, no-lagging issues. I can watch drama's with it, imagine that, woohoo! Unfortunately I don't own one of these. Perhaps the only turn down would be poor camera but hey, thats why camera is in my wishlist too right? But no doubt, you can get better phones at the cost but who cares, It is the Apple iPhone 3G we are talking about here!

The 4th C - Computer


Not that I'm not satisfied to my Dell laptop now but if I'm moving to KL I would like a desktop. Perhaps a quadcore processor? *saliva* I always wanted those high-end gaming desktop that might cost RM10k and above for the whole set. What a monster, GG. If that's not posible, a Sony VAIO laptop ain't that bad either :P

The 5th C - Car


Currently I'm driving a little Mira (Kancil), and before this I was driving my Hyundai Matrix. Notice the difference? My friend Ms. Cheng laughed for 30minutes at me when I went to fetch her with the "cute" Kancil for the first time. What's so funny? Damn I don't like the Kancil, I miss Matrix but oh well. I'm not talking about dream cars like Sport cars, Ferrari, Merz etc. Lets talk about something you might actually afford to buy in the future (without your lottery prices). To be honest Mini cooper looks really cool to me but then I don't wanna be too "cute" again so my choice would be - Honda Civic.

The South Korea government had decided to invest approximately $24.6 billions USD and will have a 1gbps broadband connection in most (if not all) main cities in Korea, and promised at least 100mbps for rural area and towns by year 2012. How fast is 1gbps? Imagine a full 2 hours DVD quality movie downloaded in 15 seconds? Now you got it.

Back in Malaysia, still, our main broadband provider, TM net, which ironically means Telekom Malaysia Not Enough Technology, have their very own and proud, Streamyx broadband. Funniest of all they are still trying to promote their "combo package" with pictures of burgers and sodas, joke.


Lets see what they got. RM168 per month for a 4mb line, only in Cyber Jaya? You must be kidding me. Think that its acceptable? Think again. I've gone through some of the feedback and reviews from 4mb users. They have a maximum speed of 1.7mb-2mb download speed on speedtest.net. Less than 50% efficiency? Give me a break. Many dudes out there who are lame enough to trust TM Net and subscribed the 4mb line quickly find themselves in a disconnection frenzy and unstable speed e.g one moment you can surf the net and 30 seconds later your msn spams "The following message could not be delivered to all recipients" and your web browsers fail to connect to Google.


Why is this happening? Because they had complete monopoly in the business. Users must use their service, even it sucks, because it's better than nothing. Their main competitors, Celcom / Jaring / Maxis broadband never fail to put you on a disconnection frenzy, anytime, anywhere.

But no longer. I just found that this new provider, P1 Wimax which provides a 400kbps/1.2mbps/2.4mbps broadband connection with a price of RM40/99/199 (If not mistaken). So far friends and users thinks that P1 is a much better provider compared to Streamyx in terms of Stability - Same fast speed throughout the day. However for some areas, they are inconsistent and might have some minor problems like disconnections.

Another good addition to their stability would be worthy price. Free modem, and 15 days trial, free delivery. That means nothing to lose as you can always take the trial before you actually subscribe. A minimum of 24 months subscription is however, not good but acceptable. But we never know, what if more and more users subscribes to P1 Wimax and they do not increase their bandwidth? Goodbye fast speed.

Our neighbour, Singapore have a 8mb broadband, and 10mb in Australia. Compared to us, where most Malaysians are having 512kbps - 1mbps internet, sadly. Exactly how far behind is Malaysia, compared to even better countries like Korea and Japan? I'd say at least 20 years, to be honest. If the government are too busy with Politic-Dramas and do not want to improve our facilities, and we do not have a choice, always try to get the best.
